"Technological Advancements in Vascular Surgery"
Mr. Mittapalli is currently a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon at Derriford hospital, Plymouth, UK. He graduated from the NTR University of Health Sciences in India and completed Basic Surgical Training in Manchester and higher surgical training in the East of Scotland Deanery. He was a teaching fellow at Walsall Manor Hospital and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Birmingham University (2008-10). He is also a keen educator and obtained a Masters in Medical Education from the Warwick University (2014) and membership of the Faculty of Surgical trainers at RCSEd (2016). He was the former Director of Education for Association of Surgeons in Training (2015-17) and the Chairman of Scottish Surgical research Group (2013). He is the founder and past chairman of the master surgeon website (www.themastersurgeon.com) and The Master Surgeon charitable Trust.

Dr. Edward Cardiff

Dr. Cardiff is currently an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Fellow at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He was initially a foundation doctor at the Royal Free Hospital and has an extensive background in tech and start-up companies. Prior to completing his foundation training programme, he was heavily involved in the development of Proximie, a cloud-based surgical platform for education and healthcare provision. Mr. Somaiah Aroori
"The Future of Transplantation Surgery"
Mr Somaiah Aroori is one of the four consultant HPB surgeons in one of the busiest HPB unit in the UK who perform more than 250 complex benign and malignant HPB cases. He has a special interest in laparoscopic liver and pancreatic surgery and keen on developing an interest in robotic surgery. He has performed several complex liver and pancreatic surgery since his consultant appointment in 2011 including 185 liver resections, 150 pancreatic resection, over 400 gallbladder operations, over 150 laparoscopic inguinal hernia operations, 80 kidney transplants, 40 laparoscopic donor nephrectomies, and over 1000 other surgeries.
More than half of liver resections and over 90% of general surgery operations were performed laparoscopically. He performed the first laparoscopic hemi-hepatectomy in Derriford Hospital in August 2012. You can find out more about his work here: Biography |
